Tonight, Gage will be at EcoCAR 3, a product of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition (AVTC) series. EcoCAR 3 is North America’s premier collegiate automotive engineering competition. The challenge this year? To redesign a Chevy Camaro to reduce environmental impact. It also needs to  maintain “the muscle and performance expected from this iconic American car.”

This year’s sponsors include the DOE itself and General Motors. Management is being conducted by Argonne National Laboratory.

The competition promotes ingenuity, innovation, and topnotch training for students looking to become prospective automotive leaders.

The teams were previously asked to incorporate alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies to lower greenhouse gas and tailpipe emissions.

As a leading powerhouse in sustainable manufacturing, custom fuel blends, solvent remanufacturing, and toll blending systems, with continual work and emphasis on the Automotive industry, Gage is sponsoring the fuel used during the event. We are happy to contribute our ever-expanding knowledge on auto sustainability to a bright and knowledgeable group.
