REBECCA RABBAN WINS TENTH ANNUAL GAGE SCHOLARSHIP
FERNDALE, Mich. --
Rebecca Rabban, a 2005 graduate of Ferndale High School, is the recipient of Gage Products Company's tenth annual community scholarship award.
The $1,000 Gage scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding Ferndale High School graduate. The company established its scholarship program in 1996.
Rabban was in the top five percent of her Ferndale High School (FHS) class, graduating with high honors and a 3.9 grade-point average. Her strong science and math background along with her commitment to the community helped her earn Gage's annual scholarship.
Rabban has been an active volunteer in the community by contributing time at her church, local soup kitchens, Focus: Hope and tutoring. She was also a member of the FHS volleyball, cross-country and track teams.
"We've been a part of the Ferndale community for more than 60 years and have taken the opportunity to recognize talented students like Rebecca for the past 10 years," noted a Gage spokesman.
The daughter of Louis and Bernadette Rabban, Rebecca begins classes this fall at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and plans to pursue a career in aeronautical engineering.
Headquartered in Ferndale, Mich., Gage Products has facilities in Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil and Mexico.
